Oh, BABY!

Hello friends!

Long time no talk (or write, I guess?)  Things are going AMAZINGLY.  Zach and I are expecting a precious bundle of joy in April!  I am due on my brother's birthday, what can we say..we wanted to give him a a REALLY cool present this year. ;) Zach took me to dinner in June and told me he was ready to start trying and I was SPEECHLESS, literally...and if you know me, you know that that is just plain crazy for me, lol.  I really thought it'd take a while to get pregnant, but 3 weeks later, I had a bun in the oven.  We are hoping for a boy but will be equally excited for a girl. :)  We had our first ultrasound a few weeks ago and it was seriously the most amazing experience we have ever had.  Our little gummy bear was swimming and fluttering around like crazy, with a heartbeat of 160!

I had my 13 week doctor appt last Friday and have lost 7oz since pre-pregnancy, my dr isn't concerned that I haven't gained weight, not yet at least.  I have to go get tested for cystic fibroris tomorrow, which is just a blood test, so not too painful.  Zach and I opted against the down syndrome test, that test has a really high rate for false positives, and quite frankly that wouldn't change our feelings for this little gummy anyway.  So if he/she comes out with down syndrome, blind, deaf, with three arms,  whatever we will still love him/her like crazy.  Hopefully not three arms though, because I would have to special order all the clothes and that's probably expensive. ha

I had never really believed this thing called, "pregnancy brain." But after my past few weeks I'm starting to think it might be real...

One day a few weeks ago, I locked our front door, and got to my car with...no keys!  Awesome!  I had to call Zach, who was in his tree stand hunting so he could come let me in and so I could go to work!

Last week, I was driving to work which is a half hour drive and I couldn't get the heat to work, I was FREEZING.  All the windows were fogged over because the defroster wouldn't work.  My finger tips were frozen and I could see my breath.  I texted Zach at work and we were hoping it would be a simple fix, well after work, I got in my car only to realize I had it pointed to the COLD side...WHAT??!? I know I'm not an idiot, so I'd like to believe God was trying to play a funny joke on me, and make me look silly...not cool!  Zach won't ever let me live it down. :(

And my depth perception has been REALLY off lately, the other day we went to the store and parked next the cart return.  Well, I opened up my door really hard, and bashed it into the metal bars, lol...crap.  It looked a lot farther away than it really was, Zach was like "Amber!  What the!?"  lol I probably looked really stupid.

And yesterday, at work I jammed two of my toes on a huge hutch type thing, not once by TWICE...the hutch has been there everyday that I've been there, but for some reason I couldn't stop running into it.

So either, I've just become really stupid and clumsy, orrrr there really is a thing called pregnancy brain..I'm going with the latter. ;)

That's all for now!
